Nadia Magallon: Dog Trainer & Software Engineer
Meet Nadia Magallon. Nadia is a software engineer at InspiringApps and a certified dog trainer with her own dog training business. Previously, Nadia worked as a consultant for a D.C. economic consulting company. She graduated from MIT with a focus on systems engineering.
Here’s what she says about her passions and her career:
“I’m Nadia. I'm a certified dog trainer and software engineer.
My mom always joked that the day I got my own apartment would be the day I got my own dog. And she was only off by about 2 weeks. I’m passionate about helping dogs and their owners live their best life through a positive relationship together.
After adopting my dog, Kona, I started doing a number of training classes and private lessons. It started my whole journey for learning all about dog behavior and becoming a certified dog trainer.
I started my own dog training business. Also, I leverage my software engineering skills in order to make websites and products that are really easy for people to use to actually train their dogs without other barriers.
Dog training has been immensely rewarding, allowing me to balance a number of different interests and connecting with people and feeling that I’m really giving back to a greater cause.”
